Taraba State University (TSU) Admissions 2025/2026

Taraba State University [TSU] Jalingo, has officially began its admissions process for the 2025/2026 academic session, offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and sandwich degree programmes.

As a public institution established in 2008, The University continues to uphold its commitment to providing quality education and outstanding academic excellence in Nigeria.

UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS:

Prospective applicants must have choosed Taraba State University (TSU) as their first choice of institution during the UTME registration, or willing to do a change of institution, replacing the initial first choice with Taraba state university,

The university has set a general cut-off mark of 140 for all degree courses.

Inclusively, candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.

 The Post-UTME screening exercise is conducted online, and applicants are required to complete the registration process via the university’s official PORTAL (apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng), upload necessary credentials, and pay the screening fee of N2,000.

DIRECT ENTRY (DE) ADMISSIONS:

For Direct Entry (DE) candidates, Taraba State University (TSU) mandates a minimum of Lower Credit in a relevant Diploma, NCE, or IJMB qualification, alongside with five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.

Applicants must also have chosen TSU as their first choice institution. The application process is similar to that of UTME candidates, requiring online registration and submission of Required documents.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES:

Taraba State University’s College of Postgraduate Studies invites applications for various postgraduate programmes, including PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees across multiple faculties.

Requirements: Applicants must have obtained at least five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English. For M.Sc. programmes, a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division is required, while Ph.D.

Applicants must have a minimum weighted average score of 50% which is about (3.5 points). The application form is available ONLINE (tsuniversity.com) for a non-refundable fee of N20,300.

SANDWICH OR PART-TIME DEGREE PROGRAMMES:

TSU also offers Sandwich Degree Programmes made specifically for individuals seeking flexible study options in education-related fields such as;

B.Ed. in Educational Administration and Planning

B.Sc. (Ed) in Business Education,

B.A. (Ed) in English Language, and more…

 For 200 Level entry, candidates must possess NCE or Diploma qualifications with at least a merit pass, with five O’Level credits.

For 100 Level entry, five O’Level credits, including Math and English are required, and candidates must attain the UTME cut-off point.

Application forms are sold at N5,000 and can be obtained through the university’s PORTAL (apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng).

IMPORTANT DATES/NOTICE:

The University has scheduled the 2024/2025 Matriculation ceremony for Friday, 28th March 2025, at the TY Danjuma Sports Complex.

Regarding this, an orientation programme for new intakes/students is set for Thursday, 27th March 2025, aimed at preparing them with academic policies and campus life.
